Empowering Vulnerable Communities in Zimbabwe
Goal: Build credibility, emotional connection, and organizational legitimacy

Mudiwa Organisation was founded in 2010 in Mvurwi town by Dr. Shereni Mazhambe supported by family members, church leaders and the community who were seeing the same heartbreak: children dropping out of school to care for sick parents, then left orphaned with no one to protect them and the spread of HIV and AIDS. We refused to accept that loss had to mean the end of a child’s future.
In Mashonaland Central province, thousands of orphans and vulnerable children face a crisis of care. HIV, poverty, and household shocks leave children without food, school fees, or safe adults to guide them. Without intervention, these children face higher risks of malnutrition, abuse, early marriage, and cycles of poverty. Mudiwa was established to break that cycle — by surrounding each child with health, education, protection, and family support so they can heal and thrive.
