Program 1: Health & HIV Care

Problem it addresses
Children and Adults living with HIV and AIDS in Zimbabwe miss clinic appointments, default on treatment, and face stigma. Without daily medication, HIV progresses to AIDS. Without transport or disclosure support, caregivers hide medicines and children die from preventable illness.

What the program does
Our community health workers identify children who are HIV-exposed or positive, link them to testing and treatment, and walk with families through every step. We provide transport vouchers, pill-count counseling, disclosure support, and home visits to ensure no child is lost to follow-up.

Who it is designed for
Children aged 0–18 living with HIV or exposed to HIV, and their primary caregivers in mandated districts.

Impact & measurable results

  • 1,200+ children actively supported on ART
  • 94% viral suppression rate among enrolled children vs 68% national average
  • 40% reduction in missed appointments at partner clinics since 2020

Program 2: Education & Child Protection

Problem it addresses
Orphaned children drop out of school due to fees, uniforms, or the need to work. Girls face early marriage and abuse. Without education, children remain trapped in poverty and exploitation.

What the program does
We pay school fees and exam fees, provide uniforms and stationery, and train teachers on child protection. We establish Child Protection Committees in schools and communities to prevent abuse, report cases, and keep children safe and learning.

Who it is designed for
Orphans and vulnerable children
